My 2023 Goals

I am one of many people who was stuck in a puddle. I would set a lot of tough goals in the beginning of the year and then not meet them 🙁 . Also I would not do anything that is easy because “that’s too easy”.
And over years I have created this impression on my wife that I take up a lot of things but don’t finish it. This year, I want to change it. To do that, I am going to take a risky approach (that I think will help).

I want to put my honor (& some money) on the line. Make it a public contract. I will list down my 2023 goals below. If I don’t achieve them by end of the year, you guys can think of Kevin as a loser who doesn’t get things done and also stop following my blog. I will also send out a $200 gift card to a random subscriber (giving out money really bites me, so I am hoping this would work).

I will also update my website quarterly (starting Q2,2023) to show my progress.

Okay, now that we have basic rules out of the way, here are my 2023 goals:

1. Start a website – get a domain name, host a website and start writing.
2. Write 15 blogs (I am trying to improve my written English & general writing skills)
3. Read at least 24 Annual Reports from the watchlist – I had created a watchlist of businesses that I wanted to study. I want to study as many as possible but I hoping to at least read 2 a month.
4. Read 24 books – Read anything I like. This should not be a problem for me, but I am trying to stay consistent.
5. Look through earnings of $35k – I will write a detailed blog on what is “look-through earnings”. For now, just consider it as passive income only from investment earnings (Earnings per share) and dividends.
